I found an interesting report by the Themed Entertainment Association today… and Disney Theme Parks are HUGE! Disney is the top Theme Park Chain in the World (with 116.5 million visitors) with the second being Merlin Entertainment with 32 Million. They hold the top eight spots for theme park attendance in the World!

Magic Kingdom-17 Million

Disneyland- 14.8 Million

Tokyo Disneyland- 13.9 Million

Tokyo Disneysea- 12.4 Million

Disneyland Paris- 12 Million

Epcot- 10.9 Million

Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Formerly MGM)- 9.5 Million

Animal Kingdom- 9.4 Million

They also hold the top two spots for Water Park Attendance in the World!
Typhoon Lagoon- 2 Million

Blizzard Beach- 1.9 Million

The only market they are not on the top is Latin America… because that is the only market they do not have a Park in!

Wow!

Here is a Link to the Full Report if you wish to read it. Some pretty interesting facts and figures in there!

  1. BTW, there’s a Multimedia exhibition offering insights into the imagery of Walt Disney. Everyone knows his classics such as Snow White and the Severn Dwarfs, Fantasia and the Jungle Book. But the images of these movies are deeply rooted in European Art of the 19th. and early 20th. centuries.
It’s at the Kunsthalle der Hypo-Kulturstiftung in Munich

  2. Sany Martin says:

I guess the fact that there is not a Disney park in Latin America can only mean that they are waiting for your expertise. Take a spanish class or two while at tech and that can be your number one goal as a Disney executive. I can see your name all over it. LOL!
